Transparent Operations for Full Accountability

Every dollar entrusted to Take Back Tomorrow HD Foundation carries a responsibility—to the person who gave it and to the families it is intended to help.

Our 501(c)(3) status was approved in February 2026. As we build the Foundation, we are committed to explaining how funds are raised, how they are used, and how our treatment funding program operates.

Making Our Finances Understandable

We plan to publish financial reports that clearly distinguish treatment assistance, other program expenses, and the costs of operating the Foundation.

Donors should be able to understand what their contributions support. Families should be able to see how we are preparing to help. As reports become available, we will make them accessible through our website.

A Clear Process for Treatment Funding

With a physician’s order for an FDA-approved HD treatment, assistance will be provided based solely on queue position and availability of funds.

We will not means-test applicants, rank them by disease progression, or select whose need is more deserving. Treatment decisions belong to patients and their treating physicians.

Our detailed queue and funding policies will be available to download when applications open, following the first treatment approval. This timing allows us to account for the requirements of the approved treatment while ensuring applicants can review the policies before applying.

Accountability Without Compromising Privacy

We intend to report how treatment assistance funds are used without exposing applicants’ private medical or financial information. Transparency means explaining our process and accounting for our spending while respecting the people we serve.

Responsible Use of Resources

Our priority is building access to treatment. That requires careful stewardship of donations, thoughtful spending, and clear oversight as the Foundation grows.

We will explain the expenses necessary to carry out our mission and be open about changes to our programs and policies. Accountability is an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time promise.
