Share Your HD Story
There is no single way to describe life with Huntington’s disease—and no single way to tell your story.
Whether you live with HD, are gene-positive, care for someone, have lost someone, or stand beside a friend or family member, your experience matters. You are the reason Take Back Tomorrow exists.
Your story can help someone feel less alone. It can help others understand what HD means beyond a diagnosis. And it can show why the possibility of treatment—and the ability to access it—matters so deeply.
Tell It Your Way
Write about a moment that changed you, a person you love, or something you wish others understood. Share a poem, a letter, or a few sentences about your day.
Create a drawing, painting, photograph, or piece of music. Record a dance, sing a song, or make a short video. Tell us about a tradition your family treasures, a challenge you are navigating, or a future you hope to see.
You do not need to be an artist, a writer, or comfortable on camera. Your contribution does not have to be polished. It only has to be something you want to share.
Every Part of the Story Belongs
HD stories can hold grief, frustration, uncertainty, humor, love, and joy—sometimes all at once. You do not have to make your experience sound hopeful or turn it into an inspirational message.
Perhaps you want to honor someone who has died. Perhaps you want people to see the everyday work of caregiving, the importance of friendship, or the person behind the diagnosis. Perhaps you simply want to say, “This is what life looks like for me.”
There is room for all of it.
Share Only What Feels Right
You decide how much to share. You do not need to disclose your genetic status, medical history, or details you prefer to keep private. If your contribution includes someone else’s story, image, or personal information, please ask their permission first.
When you contact us, tell us how you would like to be identified and whether you are comfortable with your contribution being considered for our website, social media, or awareness materials. We will discuss permission with you before publishing or sharing it publicly.
Start With a Conversation
Contact us to share your idea. You can send a brief introduction or describe what you would like to create, and we can discuss the best way to share it.
Your voice can help build a community where people feel seen, understood, and connected. We would be honored to hear it.
